4 Cups of Tea Can Reduce Stroke Risk!

According to the claims of a recent study, drinking 4 cups of tea a day, was found effective in reducing the risk of stroke.

As quoted, scientists are studying how consumption of black tea-the kind of tea that most Britons drink-is associated with stroke. As a result, the researchers found that at least 4 cups a day can reduce the potential risk of blood clots in the brain by 21 percent.

However, when drinking less than 4 cups seem to have no beneficial effect.

The findings, by scientists at the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden, based on population studies involving nearly 75,000 men and women.

Stroke recorded has killed about 200 people every day in the UK. About 85 percent of victims of ischemic stroke, which occurs clots traveling to the brain and shut off the blood supply. The rest suffered a hemorrhagic stroke, in which the blood vessel bursts in the brain, causing fatal bleeding.

The Swedish team is learning as much as 74,961 adults who are in good health condition when applying for long-term health study in 1997. Over the next ten years, more than 4,000 of the volunteers suffered a stroke, especially ischemic.

As part of the study, researchers also monitored the habit of drinking tea. They found that four or more cups a day had a significant impact either.

UK consumer is expected to consume 165 million cups of tea every day, mostly black. This tea is packed with components called flavonoids, which are considered good for the heart and brain.
